CHANGI BEACH

During the NE Monsoon, kitesurfers can head to Changi Beach Carpark 6 located at Changi Coast Road. Only KAS members with member tags attached to their harness are allowed to kite at this location. The designated kiting area is marked by signages on the beach and markers in the sea. Kiters are to keep within the limits. Permit to kite here between December to March is renewed annually so please check with KAS before kiting.

EAST COAST PARK

Kitesurfing is allowed at East Coast Park from Bedok Jetty up to Marina South during the SW Monsoon season. Most common area to launch is at the beach in front of the Xtreme SkatePark at Carpark F1 till Carpark D1.  East Coast Park and the winds usually blow from the East to South-West direction.

TANAH MERAH COAST ROAD

This spot is after Changi Naval Base if you’re coming from East Coast Parkway. Look out for lamp post 490 and enter through the dirt road on the right side of the power station. Only KAS members with member tags attached to their harness are allowed to kite at this spot. Cars parking here are required to have a KAS car decal. The designated kiting area is marked by the buoys in the sea. Permit to kite here is renewed annually so please check with KAS before kiting. Please note that non-members are not allowed at this spot and the Police Coast
Guard patrols this area quite often and will not hesitate to take action for trespassing.
